All of us are surrounded by the products manufactured from the work of Industrial Designers. These everyday products help us to get to work, to eat, to listen to music, to learn, and to enjoy our free time. The industrial designers of today, however, face new challenges; global manufacture, economic viability and, of course, environmental sustainability.
The 31st Annual Graduation Exhibition of the School of Industrial Design features work from all years of the programme and will display the process by which the students learn to tackle a wide range of design needs. The basic skills of sketching, model making, computer aided design, and form-giving are developed through innovative design projects – photovoltaics, electronic communication products, lighting, outdoor equipment, storage devices, furniture, exhibition design, and even bird houses. This year’s exhibition also features the work of the graduating students in the ‘Towards Ecoville’ project. We are sure you will find a visit very worthwhile.
